I am a freelance Hair & Makeup Artist, working mainly in TV / Film and being able to barber has become increasingly important in my career. I had previously done short courses, to teach me the basics for continuity management, but soon realized that having the NVQ qualification would give me the in-depth training I wanted to enable me to confidently execute any haircut that I may be faced with. Jordan is not only an amazing barber but an amazing teacher. I did a barbering course 7 years ago but lost my confidence. I decided to take on the 12-week course at Dilla Fades at the start of January, which I've just completed. He makes learning easy and will guide you step by step on haircuts. He won't throw you in a deep end, and he will make time for each and every one of his trainees. If we're ever nervous doing a haircut, he will be there by your side. I have gained my confidence back and learnt so much in the 12 weeks. He will even help you find a placement at a barbers. I highly recommend taking on this course for those who want to start a career.

Jordan has created one of the best educational environments I've ever been in. Not only are Jordan and the whole team extremely knowledgeable, they care so much about their craft and ensuring each student truly understands what they're doing and why. Jordan has supported me throughout my course, been accommodating to any change of circumstance, and helped me with step by step guidance on each cut, style, and technique, and has built up my confidence so quickly...

...He'll take all the time he can to help you and be by your side whenever you're unsure about something. I started the course to add to my skillset for working within TV and film but learning from Jordan has given me a love for barbering. I highly recommend the course for anyone whether you want to work in a barbershop or across the hair industry.

Jordan and the team at Dilla Fades were very helpful throughout my whole course and explained things in perfect detail, not only this they create a warm welcome atmosphere when entering the barbershop and make everyone feel welcome. When cutting hair you cut on the barbershop floor, this is very helpful as it gives you an insight into how a barbershop operates and will give you that experience for when/if you move somewhere else. If you are looking at getting into barbering I can’t recommend Dilla Fades enough! 10/10

Making a career change is very daunting, but Jordan has been really supportive, knowledgeable and patient throughout the course! He has the most energetic attitude towards all of his students. He has offered guidance every step of the way. I have learnt so much, and gained a lot of new skills. Learning with Jordan has been one of the best decisions I've made and some of the best money I've ever spent.

I first met Jordan back in 2022 when I was struggling to find a barber who could cut all types of hair for my son. I had a couple of one to one lessons with him last year to improve my skillset as a hair and makeup artist and it made me confident enough to book the full barbering course with him. Now 16 weeks later I can confidently cut all types of hair, do fades and wet shaves. Jordan provides a fun, friendly atmosphere for learners new and old and I'm glad I had the opportunity to train with him.

Couldn’t recommend the NVQ Level 2 barbering course enough. Not only Jordan but all staff at the shop are very approachable and help you feel comfortable when you’re learning. All 3 of the barbers at the shop including Grim and Imran are always hands on and available to teach and help which gives you the chance to learn all their individual ways of cutting hair to find what suits you best. I’ve gone from no experience at all to confidently working in a barbershop in just 12 weeks all thanks to Dilla Fades Training Academy.
